When it does get really cold though, Chris and Kennedy always make the most of it and I have to admit, that they get up to some pretty fun things.. We’ve been working on an ice rink for the last two Winters.Last year, it just wasn’t cold enough at all.
This year we were a little more successful!.They’ve only actually been able to use it once, but still!It’s so neat to have a real ice rink right on our property!.
I have secret dreams of one day having our whole extended family out here for a big hockey tournament on our rink.. Of course, I’ll be the one inside make the hot chocolate for everyone for afterwards, but wouldn’t that just be perfect?.Speaking of perfect… every once in awhile the creek freezes completely smoothly.
It doesn’t happen very often, but when it does, it makes for the world’s longest skating track..
Being able to make childhood memories like this for Kennedy is one of the reasons I’m so glad we took the plunge and moved way out here..Anything I missed that I absolutely have to make?.
